Bag chains are typically composed of a series of metal links connected by hinges. These links are mostly made of metal through casting or pressing processes, resulting in high strength and durability. The hook-like decorative elements connect the links, allowing the chain to exhibit excellent flexibility when bent, adapting to bags of different shapes and designs.

While crisscrossing chain links do exist in bag chain designs, not all bags employ this design. Traditionally, most bag chains are arranged equidistantly, presenting a simple and orderly aesthetic. However, to achieve a unique visual effect, some designers experiment with crisscrossing chain links. This design gives the chain a more draped feel, adding an artistic touch to the bag.
